10 Gifts Any Cozy Mom Will Love

This post may contain affiliate links, which means I'll receive a commission if you purchase through my link, at no extra cost to you.

Mom’s (and grandmas, aunties, etc.) are notoriously hard to buy for, especially when you need to thank them for all the sacrifice they’ve made for you throughout your life! Talk about pressure. My mom is particularly difficult to buy for because she doesn’t have a ton of hobbies. However, she’s one of the coziest people I know! Our home is always warm and inviting, she makes me coffee in the morning every time I visit and wants you to be comfortable 24/7. Yes, all my cozy, hygge-obsessed genes come from her. And I love buying gifts for her because I’m basically buying things I would want! So here are 10 gift ideas that any cozy mom will love.

1. Electric Fireplace

Is there anything cozier than a crackling fire?? I honestly don’t think so. This electric fireplace is already nestled into an entertainment stand so it’s easy to place in a den or living room. My mom is always asking my dad to build her a fire on chilly nights, but with this model, a flick of a switch brings this fire to life, and you can warm your feet while you watch a movie with the whole family.

2.  Retro Coffee Pot

I know Keurigs have taken over kitchens across the world, but those little pods can’t replicate the flavor OR the atmosphere of a brewing pot of coffee. It’s also a pain in the neck when you have a bunch of people over and have to make one coffee at a time. Every home should have a simple coffee pot and not a crusty model from who knows when! This retro-looking coffee pot is super cute and would look dazzling on your mom’s kitchen counter!

3. Outdoor Fire Pit

Much like the indoor fireplace, the outdoor fire pit provides all the comforts of a crackling fire but with the opportunity to roast hotdogs and marshmallows! I bought a fire pit for my mom a few years ago and we use it just about every time I come home from May to October. It’s the perfect excuse to listen to music, have a few drinks, and just sit and chat! And this one has pretty moons and stars on it!

4. Tea Mug & Infuser

So not all moms like coffee, I get that! For the tea-loving mom, this mug is all she’ll need for a hot cup of perfectly brewed earl grey. There are a few designs for this cup, but I personally like to serve my hot drinks with a hint of optimism!

5. Curtain String Lights

Fairy lights can cozy up any room in a snap! These hanging curtain lights are my personal fave, and are in the background of all my cozy Youtube videos! I love them because they fill up a space really nicely and can be easily moved around the house. If your mom would rather have outdoor lights, these round string lights are super cute too!

6. Throw Pillows

Never have I met a cozy mom who doesn’t love a good throw pillow. You can swap them out for any season and make a couch extra comfy. I really love this 4-pack because it’s pretty cheap and the designs are vaguely mountainy, which is the rustic aesthetic I crave.

7. Aromatherapy Diffuser

Scents are a huge part of making a space inviting, and can change the mood of anyone who enters a home! If your mom is a little more zen, she’ll love this diffuser. It’s sleek enough to fit in with modern decor and it’s pretty cute to boot!

8. Bath Caddy

Of all the little luxuries in life, a hot bath tops them all. But baths are a lot more enjoyable when you can watch Netflix, or read your favorite book, or have a glass of water to keep you from sweating out. Bath caddies are the thing I never knew I needed until I saw one! Your bath-loving mom will really appreciate this gift because it says that you value her taking care of herself! Throw in a bottle of wine and a book from her fave author and you’ve hit a home run.

9. Super Soft Blanket

I know blankets seem like throwaway gifts but I guarantee you anytime you give someone a super soft blanket, the first thing they will say is “Oooooooh so soft!!” and then touch it a bunch. It’s like the adult equivalent of giving a child a new stuffed animal. No one can say no to a soft blanket. This one is faux fur and looks v luxurious!

10. Candles

Okay okay yeah, candles are another gift that you can get anyone because who doesn’t like some good smelling stuff? The trick is to put some real thought into which candle to buy. Don’t just traipse into Target and sniff some things and grab one that looks nice. Does your mom love a particular flower? Does she love the beach? Is there a memory you share around a type of dessert? If you live in a different state than your mom, these state candles are a super cute gift to either remind her of home OR let her have a little piece of you with her.

Most moms need/deserve a little downtime, and all of these products will help her get cozy and relaxed!

Lorddd I hope I have enough Broad City lovers to get that reference 🙏🏼 June is going by so fast and I’m trying to collect all these memories in hopes of slowing it down. The world feels heavy but there are pockets of light if you know where to look ✨ Better yet, be a light in someone’s day if you can. Amid the horrors there are so many opportunities for humanity, kindness and love.

June is lipedema awareness month, so here I am spreading awareness! I was diagnosed with lipedema a few years ago and coming to terms with a life-long progressive condition was a full grieving process.

Things have gotten better since I had my first lipedema surgery last year, both mentally and physically! But it’s just a fact of life that 1-2 hours of my day are dedicated to ongoing maintence to keep my surgery results for as long as possible.

Sometimes it feels like lipedema steals time and energy away from things that matter. But I have to remind myself that my wellbeing is what matters most of all!

How are you prioritizing your wellbeing today? 💞

I hope someday soon my mental image of myself matches the reality. Practices like this are really helpful. Self portraits are a fabulous way to get to know your physical self and back when ig was more photo-focused, I did A LOT of them. Time to bring them back, I’d say 📸

Love you all and hope you can find even a sliver of body peace today 🫶🏻

Happy birthday to my favorite person @movewithprid Happy birthday to my favorite person @movewithpride 😍🐢✈️🍜 Mon is one of most compassionate and genuine people you’ll ever meet and sees the best in everyone. They love a sports underdog story and will cry every time. They keep going even through the toughest circumstances, and never lets that harden them. They put themselves out there to be the visibility they never had, both in work and in their personal life. Mon is amazing and deserves all the best wishes today as they turn 37!! 🥳🎂🎁

There’s a lot to love about Mon but what I’ve appreciated the most this past year is the growth they’ve done in solidifying their sense of self, knowing what they deserve, and acting in ways that protect their peace and honor their heart 🫶🏻 It’s a gift to witness and I’m endlessly proud of them!

Mon gives SO much to others so let’s give back to them today 💕 Comment with a fave memory of Mon or something you admire about them ✨
“How was your trip?!” We’ve gotten that qu “How was your trip?!”

We’ve gotten that question a lot since we returned from Hawai’i and it is impossible to answer in only a few words!

This trip engaged us spiritually, physically, emotionally, and intellectually. We learned more than we ever dreamed from native Hawaiians, most who usually would never engage with a group of tourists. It was an act of trust for them to share their knowledge and experience with us and we held that space with respect and divinity.

We also immersed ourselves in the 'āina, the land, through weeding taro fields in the pouring rain and doing reef conservation work. This was healing in its own special way and has inspired us to be in nature more often.

Our biggest takeaway (and the cute magnet we brought home, as our tradition) is to live aloha. Aloha is known by most as a hello/goodbye but it is so much more than that. To live aloha is to embody love, peace, compassion and respect. It means living in harmony with the people and land around you with mercy, sympathy, grace and kindness. If everyone lived aloha, our world would be a much better place.

I’m sure we’ll have more thoughts to share as we process this tremendous trip! But huge thanks to @doctorkiona @reroottravel and all of the guides and kumus who trusted us to share what we learned 🤙🏻 Our lives are forever changed.
