Happy Sunday blog family! I am rested and ready to hit the keys running after spending five days at my favorite place, the beach! The beach, and more specifically the ocean, makes me feel like I am at peace and in tune with the world around me. It’s also a great place to show off fun outfits and every bikini in my drawer! Here’s a lookbook of my favorite plus size vacation outfits!
You know I’m always on that graphic tee game. This Popsicle Patch Tee from Forever 21 is one of my favorites for the summer season and I wore this last Sunday, which was the DC pride festival. Unfortunately I couldn’t attend this year because I had accidentally booked our hotel for the same day! So to celebrate pride, I took a sunset walk with my partner and wore some rainbow popsicles on my boobs because that’s basically the same, right? I tucked the tee into a simple black maxi skirt and carried all my things in this Milly Beach Please clutch that I got in my FabFitFun box!
The next day we hit the beach and I got to debut this strappy bikini from Rue 21. These pieces are sold to mix and match, so I chose the Cage Front Coral Bikini that can go with either plain black bottoms or these Plum Bottoms with a coral side strip and cut out detail. Both pieces are in a 2X and fit perfectly! I was worried my hips might look a little bit like dough-through-cheese-wire but that wasn’t the case. The straps in this suit made me feel flirty and sexy while still being supportive.
This is possibly one of my favorite outfits from my entire trip! This is the most summery outfit I own right now. I usually shy away from red, though I absolutely love stripes, but I nabbed this tank top on sale a while ago and it goes perfectly with a butt-ton of denim. Distressed shorts and an oversize chambray top turn this look casual and cool, and a pair of black Nike’s (in a wide, of course) add a tinge of athleisure. This look was perfect for strolling on the boardwalk and pouring a few beers at my favorite restaurant.
That about wraps up my fashion from vacation. I spent a lot of time in swimsuits, pajamas, and prescription sunglasses and overall, it was the best couples beach vacay I’ve been on so far!
